Hello! I have kept this cute scrapbooking funny for a while. Time to share it online and let go of my paper copy!
Scrapbook Promises
1) I will not stuff craft supplies in every corner of my house.
2) I will not keep nine projects going at one time.
3) I will not pick up more buttons, lace, or fabric when I have a ton at home.
4) I will not let my crafting area look like a condemned area.
5) I will not relegate the kitchen table to crafts.
6) I will not attend craft shows just to pick up new ideas.
7) I will not stock up on more craft supplies just because they are on sale.
8) I will not hide craft supplies from my family and friends.
9) I will not let my crafting distract me from cooking dinner.
10) I will not stay up all night crafting.
11) I will not save dryer lint, empty cereal boxes, detergent scoops, etc.
12) I will not buy every craft magazine I see.
13) I will not make promises I cannot keep. See you at the craft show.
Enjoy!

Homemade Dishwasher Detergent & More
Hello. I am in the process of moving LisaLovesToScrapbook.blogpsot.com to my new account
LisaLovesToScrapbook.com. The new blog is WordPress, awesome!
TODAY I needed dishwasher detergent. Want to run the washer and no soap.
Also, no recipe in the house for a new batch of detetergent.
Used swagbucks.com to search and found a great site w/ a recipe I like the best:
http://www.diynatural.com/simple-effective-jabs-homemade-dishwasher-detergent-rinse-agent/
Homemade Dishwasher Detergent Recipe
•1 cup borax
•1 cup washing soda
•1/2 cup citric acid
•1/2 cup kosher salt
Fill rinse agent compartment with white vinegar
The post goes on with picture steps, cost breakdowns, etc. Awesome!
I don't have citric acid in the house, but I do have too much orange extract. So I used a tablespoon of extract w/ 2 tablespoons of detergent mixture, listed above. It smells good.
Usually I would use Trader Joe's detergent. But it does leave a white film that everyone talks about. Maybe if I see Citric acid I will try it - the posting comments say Citric acid is a miracle worker.

Happy Valentine's Day Week
I hope you are having a nice week so far. The weather has been great here and we aren't down with the flu - good times!
Our schools had a 1/2 day today so both of my boys came home early. I took my oldest to the dentist for full X-rays - seems he has a rogue eye tooth. Not good. I don't miss that part of teen age years. I had teeth pulled and braces when I was a teen, ugh! It was worth all the pain and soreness, though. I did not know at 13 years old how much I would appreciate having straight teeth at almost 50 years old. I am getting a big return on investment. lol
With my 1 hour off today I dropped by the Dollar Tree. I'm looking for sandals for the Boys' Club knight costumes. I didn't find sandals to buy BUT I found a Zen Garden. Just couldn't pass _that_ up for $1. I put it on my desk right in front of my computer screen. It'll bring me peace until it looks too dirty. This is what mine looks like - but my swirls aren't as good as this one from the web:
Another good piece of news for today - Survivor started! I joined a competition in my local scrapbook group. We did a blind draw for 1 survivor and get to pick 1 more survivor. Whoever picks the survivor winner, wins. For the blind draw, I got "Stephanie Valencia". Now don't tell me she just teamed up with Russell? Really? Like that is going to work this time? Uh oh! lol Well, I guess you never know. lol I have to figure out who I'll pick for Survivor #2....
My 1st (blind) draw for Survivor this season. Wish me luck, I haven't won the competition yet! It's a good year for firsts, right?
Have a great week!

Creativity Mantra for the New Year
I learned a creativity mantra last year, and I just found it (again) buried in my notes. Mantras can be great when I feel "stuck in a rut". Esp. since I don't usually say them - just that change in habit saying it can help the "rut feeling" go away.
Here it is:
Think positive!
Lisa
Here it is:
Every day, in every way,
I am getting better and better.
My increasing talents are for serving humanity (or serving God's will) better.
I am in complete control over my senses and faculties at every dimension
of my mind,
including the dimensions of creativity and imagination.
Positive thoughts bring me the benefits and advantages I desire.
Think positive!

Gift Wrapping with an ATG Gun - "tapeless seams"
Hello and Happy December Holidays!
I had an "aha" moment this weekend - just had to share. After my scotch tape failed to secure my foil and flock wrapping paper on a gift - I thought "What is a strong tape?" ATG gun of course!
The ATG gun glides on long pieces of wrapping paper. And an extra plus- the tape stays INSIDE. The seams where the paper joins looks spotless with scotch tape covering them up.
The ATG gun gives a very professional look. Use your non scrapbook refills, the cheaper tape. :)
If you like demonstrations - a video!
